Me and my shadow silver and neoprene earrings

I love making these earrings! Each earring is a gestural asymmetric sterling silver loop paired with a black neoprene loop made from the distorted shadow of the silver loop. This piece can only be made around 3:00pm, when the light is coming into my studio at the right angle to create a wider, elongated shadow.

I intentionally put the two elements together so that the shapes are flipped in some way. This way the shapes relate to each other, but aren't identical. Sisters, but not twins! Each pair of earrings is somewhat different and unique in it's own way. These are not made from a mold. Please note- these earrings now come on matte sterling silver chain and ear wires; they are also available on blackened sterling silver chain and earwires by request as well.
